In honor of the City of Ottawa's 150th anniversary, the daycare was dedicated as a Community Legacy Project by the Mayor Bob Chiarelli and the Councillor Peter Hume on November 29th 2005.

The Garderie OASIS Child Care Centre is located at the Smyth Road hospital campus, walking distance to the Ottawa Hospital(TOH), The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario(CHEO), The University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine and the Ottawa Children's Treatment Centre(OCTC).
